CSA 2010, Minnesota and You

Minnesota
is a part of the Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA) 2010 pilot
program. CSA 2010 is a major Federal Motor Carrier Safety
Administration (FMCSA) initiative to improve the effectiveness of the
Agency's compliance and enforcement programs. Its goal is to achieve a
greater reduction in large truck and bus crashes, injuries, and
fatalities, while maximizing the resources of FMCSA and its State
partners. You can review a fact sheet on this new program to learn more and you may also submit any comments and questions about the CSA 2010 initiative here. Information on CSA 2010 will also be provided at our October 20th DOT Audit workshop in Brainerd, MN. |

New MLEP Board Member: David Hughes, Hughes Timber

The Minnesota Logger Education Program Board of Director's recently
elected David Hughes (Kelliher, MN) as a MLEP board member.
Hughes has been an MLEP member since 1997 and is a Minnesota Certified
Master Logger. |

Former MLEP Executive Director: Mike Turner
|
|
The MLEP Board of Directors and Staff were saddened to learn Mike
Turner, 45, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at HospiceCare,
Fitchburg, Wis. Mike was MLEP's executive director from 1995 -
2002.
Our condolences go out to Mike's family. |
