Individuals who are eligible for membership as MLEP Logging Professionals are owners of logging businesses. A logging business is a sole-proprietorship, partnership, or corporation that:
1) purchases stumpage and/or is an independent contract logger,
2) controls timber harvesting, and
3) owns timber harvesting equipment.

Individuals who are eligible for membership as MLEP Trucking Professionals are owners of trucking businesses. A trucking business is a sole-proprietorship, partnership, or corporation that:
1) hauls wood as an independent contract hauler,
2) controls timber hauling, and
3) owns trucking equipment.

The Minnesota Logger Education Program requires the following of a business owner and/or an “in-woods” person actively responsible for the logging site attend initial first year training requirements and annual continuing education. Click below to view specific training requirements:
MLEP Logger Education Requirements
Associate members are boldly displayed within MLEP's Forest Resource Management Directory, and are listed along with a link to their website (if applicable) on the MLEP website. Associate members receive copies of MLEP newsletters, and membership mailings including policy updates and opportunity announcements.
